Lucy became involved in theatre projects, improvisation and jazz after studying at Edinburgh where she tip-toed from her halls of residence wearing her casual wrangler needle chords and a low-B string to watch the Edinburgh Festival. In 1996, she joined the acclaimed theatre music string septet the 'Gogmagogs' performing in Sydney, Toronto, and New York. She has since been involved in contemporary music ensembles such as Continuum Ensemble and Tete A Tete.
 
Playing electric as well as double bass Lucy has gripped the rock, pop, jazz and classical scene in the Uk with a firm passion. She has been playing with Glenn Tilbrook and the Fluffers since 2004, recording 'Transatlantic Ping Pong' and touring the UK and the US extensively in a 32 foot Winnebago.
 
She has been on the road with Katie Melua with whom she appeared alongside Jamie Cullum at the Brit Awards.
 
Lucy has toured with other artists including Ian Broudie and Ben Taylor. She has also been working with the band Slovo since 2001.
 
Having recorded and performed with Pavarotti, Paul McCartney, Julian Lloyd Webber, Divine Comedy, Joby Talbot, Aled Jones, Karl Jenkins, Primal Scream, Beth Orten, Doves, Travis, Kasabian, Jay Z and Beyonce Lucy still finds the time to explore the Hertfordshire countryside in an open-top Morris Traveller.
