Ben is RSR's demon horn player! His embouchure is likened to a worried rooster's behind. He has surprised the band with his clever trumpet escapades on Louis Jordan's 'There Aint Nobody here but us Chickens' into which he puts his heart and blessed soul! His attack on lonely demi-semis is totally justified. 

Ben is a needy necessity to the RSR sound. He sorts out the top when there's no bottom. He is featured heavily on the band's album (The Rag and bone Club).

He plays with The Pasadena Roof Orchestra, Lizzy Newbury, Big Buzzard (www.bigbuzzard.co.uk ) and is a mainstay on the trad jazz circuit although he is young. His own band 'Ben Cummings and the Big Beat' is well worth checking out. Influenced by 1950s West Coast style jazz,  they have been making a name for themselves throughout jazz venues in the UK.
