When Hazel Holder and Stephen Large played in an 80s cover band whilst at school together in the 80s, they didn't think that in their 30s they would be playing music of the 40s to an audience in their 20s-60s throughout the whole of the 90s.
With West End shows including Carmen Jones, Ain't Misbehavin' and more recently Death and The King's Horsemen at The National Theatre under her belt and having been on Broadway New York in the Young Vic's production of Sleeping Beauty, Hazel Holder is the perfect passionate diva to front such an entertaining, classy yet wacky band.
Hazel has a great skill of drawing an audience's full attention in a very smiley manner whilst on stage. The band have much respect for the 'Luton giggler' but know never to cross the line on being late for a soundcheck!
Other work includes acting leads on The Bill, Doctors, and a BBC 4 radio drama. She has appeared in smaller roles on Judge John Deed, Family Affairs and Cambridge Spies. Hazel has toured with The Shout vocal group and appeared with the Helen Chadwick Group at the Royal Opera House.
