Stephen Large is one band member that can still leave the rest of RSR with their jaws wide open during a band performance.
He has drawn much inspiration from other pianists such as Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and Nat King Cole and is a huge fan of Oscar Peterson and Hammond player Jimmy Smith. His classical additives and random musical silliness is reminiscent of heroes like Dudley Moore and Les Dawson.
He has also been musical director for Rebecca Ferguson and Duffy as well as having been MD/keyboard player for Imelda May, Clare Teal, Martha Reeves, Paloma Faith, Pete Doherty and Rod Stewart. He has also taken over Jools Holland's role as keyboard player in the band Squeeze.
